Wireframing

Wireframes are good for representing static interfaces. Wireframing is the step where high-level mock-ups (lo-fi) are designed on the basis of concepts. Data and layout in an interface commonly change as users interact with a product, however, so the single static wireframe may not represent the complexity of those changes well. Wireframes are effectively used as communication devices; they facilitate feedback from the users, instigate conversations with the stakeholders, and generate ideas between the designers. Wireframing is the perfect way for designers to gauge how the user would interact with the interface. They are intended to present information architecture and functional design. Wireframing enables all stakeholders to gauge how much space will need to be allocated for each feature, connect the site’s information architecture to its visual design, and clarify the page’s functionality. Wireframing shows how should behave and how to develop solutions such as header, navigation, footer, modal windows, etc. Creating high-level mockups also saves time when visualizing various troubleshooting suggestions. Wireframes will enable you to get vital user, client, and stakeholder approval when it comes to the layout and navigation of the product’s key pages. Wireframes save heaps of time and money.
