In-depth Interview is a qualitative research method that involves conducting an intense 1-to-1 conversation with a small number of respondents. The goal is to explore participant’s perspective on a particular idea, software, or situation. IDI method consists of at least 5 interviewees (the more the better). The main goal of each interview is to explore participant’s point of view, experience, feelings, and perspective. This information will be needed for UI design related decision-making.
